I'm Alex, a highly motivated software developer with a keen interest in distributed, and self-organising systems. Originally a student of architecture and design, I became fascinated by machine learning (for design optimisation) as well as web-based, mass-participation in problem solving.
I have recently completed an MSc in computer science (conversion), ranked in the top 5% of my cohort.
My education in design and computer science meet particularly in the area of game development. I enjoy gamifying processes such as participatory design (see PixALL Crowd), and education (see CodeAColony).
This website is intended to showcase my personal / academic projects, and to house my blog, which focuses on the endless persuit of becoming a better developer, discussing tools, languages and frameworks, challenges and solutions that I encounter along the way.
